Dr. Hudgins changes a life

Five years ago when I was 17 years old, I went to Dr. Roger Hudgins (neurosurgeon) when he was in Atlanta. He changed my life.

After I had a very scary yet comforting visit with him and was diagnosed with congenital hydrocephalus (water on the brain), he performed the surgery that saved my life, placing a VP shunt to help the CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) flow into my abdomen.

Months after the surgery, he adjusted my shunt twice and watched me grow and change. I even baked him a cake :)

I have been trying to find him and get in touch with him to thank him and update him on my life and how I am doing.

I recently graduated from college with a degree in Special Education and am now a Behavior Therapist for children with autism. Words cannot express how blessed and thankful I am that Dr. Hudgins came into my life and changed it forever.

Dr. Hudgins, I hope you are doing well, and I just want you to know how wonderful you are. I am a healthy and thriving person that can give back much like you have. Thank you.

Dr. Hudgins is the best. My son Axl has him as neurosurgeon and we couldn’t ask for any better neurosurgeon.
