Overcoming Ulcers

I was 2-years-old and became very ill. I was first taken to Columbus where the doctors there had no idea what was going on with me.

I was very weak and could not keep anything down. It got to the point I didn’t want to eat.

Finally my parents decided to take me out of there and straight to Akron, where wonderful doctors got together and found the problem.

I was put right away into emergency surgery for ulcers. No one knew what the outcome would be as they had never had a patient so young with such an illness.

Thanks to these surgeons I am now 28-years-old and have four children the doctors were not sure I would even be able to have. Clearly they must have done something right.

I owe a huge thank you to all the doctors and staff I had way back then. Unfortunately I do not know any of their names. Without them, however, I would not be here today.

Big thanks,
Chelsea
