Oncology staff treated son like their own

On Oct. 7, 2013, our son, Greggory, was admitted to a bone marrow transplant (BMT) room on Akron Children’s cancer unit. That’s where he stayed until Nov. 20.

The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing and treated him like he was their own.

Being an employee, and never having to experience a long stay, they treated me with the utmost respect and let me know everything that they were doing and what was going on on a day-to-day basis.

On the day that they he was released to the Ronald McDonald House, the whole team was there to see him off and still to this day, they ask about him.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of our son!
