Levi experienced a brain injury at birth and wasn’t expected to live through his birthday. He received cold cap therapy at Akron Children’s and spent 17 days in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), followed by 3 years of outpatient therapy.
Now at age 3, he’s diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy and a severe affinity for trouble! He loves to jump on his trampoline, run around with his brother, talk back to his parents, and spends most of his day sitting in a time-out chair!
He is currently receiving physical and speech therapy at Akron Children’s rehab office in North Canton. He sees Dr. (Micah) Baird for physiatry at the Canton location.
He started preschool this week and his family wants you to know that there is so much joy in the journey to diagnosis. Raising a child with special needs has made us better human beings, and Levi’s amazing abilities and special soul touch the lives of everyone he knows!
