Heroes came in all capes and sizes in our September “In the Moment” photos. We invite you to take a glance at those you may have missed, or a second peek at those you’ve already enjoyed.
2. We are saddened to share that our beloved Petie the Pony passed away from cancer. For 20 years, he touched the lives of countless children at Akron Children’s thanks to Victory Gallop’s dedicated mission.
4. Heroes come in all capes and sizes. 14 of ours did something super for the Akron Children’s Hospital Akron Marathon. They offered inspiration, strength and courage for 13,000 runners at our 12 #ACHero patient zones along the 26.1-mile route.
6. For the 23rd year, the good people at Adventure Harley-Davidson organized a charity ride for us with 1,200 bikers. They rode 48 miles together on I-77 from Dover to our Akron campus with about 3,000 teddy bears on their bikes for our patients!
10. Our #ACHero “Zak Attack” Ostapowicz used his superpowers to score a coveted ride aboard the Goodyear blimp for his family. We are proud to have such kind, generous partners to make our patient families smile!
