With a medley of seasonal decorations and magical trees on display, it’s easy to get caught up in the sparkling details of Akron Children’s Hospital’s 34th annual Holiday Tree Festival. In fact, decorators spend hours carefully crafting every detail to bring not only beauty to the branches, but also meaning.
The beauty of the Akron Children’s Hospital Holiday Tree Festival is often in the stories that inspire people to donate and decorate trees. For one local family, the care they received at Children’s touched them personally, inspired a career and motivated them to give back to the hospital that helped their premature baby boys thrive.
They say good things come in small packages, but the 34th annual Holiday Tree Festival presented by the volunteers of Akron Children’s Hospital proves otherwise. This much anticipated holiday tradition comes unwrapped, lit up and on display Nov. 21-29 at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, bringing joy to manyand thousands in donations to the hospital.
