In November of 2001 I gave birth to a little girl. She only weighed a little over 5 pounds. She was put on all kinds of machines and transferred to Akron Children’s when she was about 7 to 10 days old. Miraculously she pulled through with no brain damage or any other serious side effects. At least that’s what me and her doctor thought.
She was about 14 months old and she started having problems when she was 16 months old. I took her for a random checkup. Her doctor said that she had one of the worst types of pneumonia possible and there was not anything we could do. She died in my arms at Akron Children’s Hospital when she was only 18 months old. I really appreciate everything the doctors and nurses tried to do for my little angel but I guess God needed her more then I did. That is how I try to look at it so I can try to go on with my life without her.
