No one says parenting is easy, and we all have questions from time to time. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have these questions answered by an expert?
If you have a minute, you can.
Called 60-Second Positive Parenting, Akron Children’s new video series offers brief strategies and perspectives on everyday parenting issues, with a new segment premiering every Wednesday. Child psychologist Geoffrey Putt, PsyD, hosts the series. He draws upon his expertise as the director of Akron Children’s Parenting and Family Support Services as well as his experiences as a father.
I created the concept for 60-Second Positive Parenting because, as a parent, I know how hungry we all are for practical and insightful parenting advice. And, with today’s busy pace, I’m also a big fan of short news bites, such as Scientific American’s 60-Second Mind and 60-Second Science.
I’m grateful for being able to work with Dr. Putt as well as my colleagues Brandan Baki, Akron Children’s multimedia producer and designer, and AV Manager Jim Balogh on producing these segments.
Here’s an introduction of the series. I encourage you to check out the segments on our YouTube channel.
