Ohio CycleWorks Charities, a team of four cyclists, is set to take off Saturday, June 14 at 12 p.m. in the Race Across America (RAAM). The cyclists, Bryan Ray, Matt Geis, Brian Zupancic and Shawn Aker, will bike 3,000 miles across the country from Oceanside, Calif. to Annapolis, Md. in an event built on a foundation of giving back to the community.
Money raised by the team will support both Akron Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The team’s mission is to raise awareness and funds for children in need throughout the community. This is the second time Ohio CycleWorks Charity has raced on behalf of the hospital. In 2012, the team raised $45,000.
