Fruity candy canes
4 to 5 strawberries
Wash the strawberries and cut off the green stems. Slice bananas and strawberries, and then alternate the pieces into a candy cane shape on a plate.
Whipped cream (substitute low-fat Greek yogurt for a healthier option)
Wash the strawberries and remove the green stems. Then, cut off the tip of the berry. Turn it upside down so it sits flat on the plate. Add whipped cream and place the tip of the berry back on top and put a small dollop of whipped cream on the top for the Pom Pom on Santa’s hat. Add 2 small dots of whipped cream on Santa’s belly and place 2 sprinkles for his eyes.
Place a cup of milk and a handful of spinach leaves in a blender to tint it green. You can sweeten to taste, but the small amount of spinach won’t alter the taste. For milk allergies or sensitivities, use almond or soy milk instead. If you want to tint it red, use strawberries instead of spinach.
