Theresa Carter, president of the OMNOVA Solution Foundation, is just one of the many Akron celebrities who will participate in the 4th annual fundraiser for the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Akron Children’s Hospital.
The 7th annual event raised $231,840 for Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley – shattering last year’s total by more than $10,000!
Twelve-year-old Emily Kungli plans to raise as much money as she can for the 2nd annual Emily’s Sparkle Sprint. Named in her honor, this year’s event has taken the online route and become a virtual 5k to raise funds for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Akron Children’s Hospital (PICU).
More than 40 retired nurses, representing more than 1,000 years of service to the hospital, gathered recently to celebrate Akron Children’s Hospital’s 125 years of caring.
