Gift bags brighten patient stays at Akron Children’s Hospital
New sights, new sounds, unfamiliar procedures. A hospital stay can be an intimidating experience for little ones. To help take a bit of the sting away from time spent in the hospital, Akron Children’s Hospital is giving away tote bags donated by Kohl’s Cares®, filled with age-appropriate goodies to patients age 6 to 9.
Boardman Subaru shares the love with Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley through national campaign
Thanks to the generosity of Subaru buyers in the Mahoning Valley, Akron Children’s Hospital received a donation of more than $30,000. The donation was part of the 7th annual Subaru Share the Love campaign, in which Subaru of America donates $250 for every vehicle sold or leased from Nov. 21 to Jan. 2 to charitable organizations.
Radiothon raises nearly $500,000 in 16th year
Since 2000, the “Have a Heart, Do Your Part Radiothon,” presented by 98.1 WKDD, has provided patients and families the opportunity to share their personal stories on the air, prompting hundreds of listeners to call in with pledges to Akron Children’s Hospital.
