As healthcare continues to shift toward providing care closer to home, or in the home, the Family Child Learning Center (FCLC) has begun to take a closer look at where their services are provided.
The Showers Family Foundation is encouraging the community to fight for a cure with Cash Dash for Cancer, an online fundraising campaign that will take place Aug. 23 – 25. The foundation plans to match every dollar donated online by the public and donations will go toward cancer research. The money will go toward cancer research at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Before Bekah was born I thought that the March of Dimes simply funded research. As Bekah’s 10-week NICU stay progressed, I was able to see just how much more than research the March of Dimes does. Not only does the March of Dimes help premature babies by providing funds for research, but it also helps premature babies by helping the families of those babies.
