For most families the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are the busiest of the year. I’ll admit, we’re usually fairly busy then too, but nothing compares to the hectic rush of the middle of September.
Every year, the annual Walk for Babies showcases a family who has been affected by the Akron Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Going into its 8th year, the event is shining the spotlight on NICU graduates Charlee and Lennix.
The 8th annual Walk for Babies, which benefits the neonatal intensive car unit (NICU) at Akron Children’s Hospital, will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21 at the Akron Zoo.
After participating in Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley radiothon, the Youngstown Heart Walk, and the Walk for Babies (all within a 5- day span), we felt that we couldn’t possibly feel better, or more excited, to be the parents of such a fun, silly, exciting little girl who has inspired us to do all of those things.
